Trap bets and sucker bets
August 17th, 2009 -- Posted in Sports Betting | No Comments »Have you ever looked at a sports line and said, “no way! That is a no brainer!” If so, how many times have you bet that game and shockingly, lost! I don’t know about you but it has happened to me on several occasions. To be honest, it seems like the opposite team of what you think is the no brainer covers nearly all the time. Why is that? It has a lot to do with Vegas being way smarter and knowing a lot more than you and I. They know this game will look like a great bet to you. It’s what they call a “sucker bet”. There are certain teams and situations that the public loves to bet. A lot of times they are just traps.
I’ve even went to the extreme now. Not only do I “stay away” from betting these trap games, I’ve been betting the opposite of these every time. You might not feel comfortable going that far, but at least have the discipline to not take the sucker bet. Remember, if it sounds to good to be true – it probably is!
A blog that was recently started that hits the nail on the head is NeverBetOn.us! This is exactly what we are talking about. They need some more content but they are on the lookout for “trap games”.
